PROJECT ACTIVITIES

Project activities include an analysis of the research potential of research institutions in Europe and developing tools for European research organisations, universities, and research funding organisations of European countries to address gender-related barriers concerning recruitment, retention, and development of research careers (so-called GEP – Gender Equality Program). The project will result in implementing GEP at the partner universities, which will contribute to cultural and institutional change as well as unlocking the research potential of scientific organisations.

As part of the project, an assessment of the procedures and practices applied in the partner countries and universities will be carried out with regard to research capacity and career development (e.g. of female researchers), as well as an analysis of national legislation and policy frameworks. In parallel, participatory activities will be carried out, meetings to understand the needs and preferences of stakeholders and increase their competences concerning selected topics related to sustainable policies towards gender equality in science.

The activities in terms of the project activities are included in the following packages:

  • WP 1. Project management
  • WP 2. Audit and evaluation of GEP procedures and practices at national and university level
  • WP 3. Building a base for systematic institutional change
